Scope of this policy

This policy explains how IT Web Builder handles information connected with itwebbuilder.com. It applies to website visits, analytics and project enquiries. It does not cover third-party websites you may visit through external links.

Information we may collect

When you browse the website, Google Analytics may process information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, referring source, general interactions and session timing. We do not use Analytics to intentionally collect your name, email address or sensitive information.

If you choose to make an enquiry, you may provide your name or company, email address, project type, budget range, preferred timing and project description. Form submissions are delivered to IT Web Builder using Formspree.

If you use the AI Project Consultant, the messages you enter and recent conversation context are sent securely to OpenAI to generate the response. Do not enter passwords, payment information, confidential business information or sensitive personal information. IT Web Builder does not use the AI chat as a customer database.

Why information is used

Information is used to understand website performance, improve content and user experience, provide AI-assisted project guidance, respond to enquiries, discuss potential work, maintain website security and meet applicable legal obligations. AI suggestions are general guidance and are not fixed quotations or delivery commitments. IT Web Builder does not sell personal information.

Google Analytics and cookies

IT Web Builder uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the website. Analytics cookies are optional. On your first visit, you can accept or reject analytics. If you reject them, analytics storage remains denied and the main website remains usable.

Your preference is stored locally on your device so the website can remember it. You can change your decision at any time using the “Cookie settings” control displayed on the website. Sharing, security and retention

Information may be handled by service providers needed to operate the website, including the website hosting provider, Google Analytics, Formspree for enquiry delivery and OpenAI for AI-generated responses. Information may also be disclosed if required by law. Reasonable steps are taken to protect information, but no internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Enquiry correspondence is retained only as reasonably needed to respond, manage a potential working relationship, maintain business records or meet legal requirements. Google Analytics retention is managed through the Analytics property settings. AI chat history is kept temporarily in the visitor’s browser during the open page session and is not intentionally stored in an IT Web Builder customer database.

You can reject analytics, change your cookie preference, block cookies using your browser, or contact IT Web Builder to ask about personal information held in enquiry correspondence. You may request access or correction where applicable. Deleting browser storage may reset your saved cookie preference.
